Grammy Award Winner Brandy To Headline Philadelphia Music Festival

By Cherri Gregg

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia's Multicultural Affairs Congress is teaming up with the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation for the Sixth Annual Global Fusion Festival to take place in July.

Grammy Award Winner Brandy is the headliner, crooners Kenny Latimore, Elle Varner and Luke James will also light of the stage. It's all a part of a free celebration of Philadelphia's cultural diversity, says MAC Executive Director Tanya Hall.

"When we look at what our attendees are saying about the festival and why they come. They come, obviously for the headline talent. They want to see the cultural performers. They want to learn something about their own culture. But a top reason is that they want to learn about somebody else's culture."

In addition to the concert, the festival will include cultural performers, vendors, a children's pavilion and more.
The July 21st festival is the culmination of Global Fusion Week. For more information, go to www.globalfusionfestival.com.
