16 Injured In SEPTA Bus, Dump Truck Crash In Germantown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – More than a dozen passengers and a bus driver were injured after a SEPTA bus was rear-ended by a truck Wednesday morning.

The accident happened at about 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of Germantown and Windrim Avenues.

According to SEPTA officials, a southbound route 23 bus was rear-ended by a dump truck while stopped at the intersection.

Authorities say 15 passengers and the bus driver were injured in the crash. The extent of the injuries was not immediately known.

It was also not immediately known if anyone in the dump truck was injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
