PEMBERTON, N.J. (CBS) — Burlington County, NJ officials say a human body was found Sunday morning in Pemberton Township.

The Burlington County prosecutor’s office says the remains were discovered by two people who were riding motorcycles on a trail in a wooded area off Quail Run Road.

Due to its advanced state of decomposition, the body’s age and gender weren’t immediately known.  The medical examiner was expected to perform an autopsy today.

Pemberton Township police and the county prosecutor’s office major crimes unit are investigating.
