Berks County Man Accused Of Shooting Girlfriend's Ex-Husband Now Facing New Charges

READING, Pa. (AP) — An eastern Pennsylvania man already accused of shooting his girlfriend's ex-husband and trying to force a teenage girl into prostitution is now charged with trying to arrange the murders of the victims.

Forty-two-year-old Christopher Yingling is charged with criminal solicitation of first-degree murder. Berks County District Attorney John Adams alleges that Yingling tried to hire a fellow inmate to coordinate the slayings of the victims, their families and witnesses. He says detectives intercepted phone conversations and a hand-written note in which they allege that Yingling tried to line up guns and a pickup truck for the killings.

Yingling is already charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, sexual assault and corruption of minors. The public defender's office listed as representing him did not immediately return a call after hours seeking comment.
