PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — An off-duty officer and a woman were shot outside a bar after the officer tried to break up a fight early Thursday morning. Both of the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police say an off duty officer, who was not identified, attempted to break-up fight outside a Crescentville bar along the 700 block of Adams Avenue just after 3 a.m. and he wound up being shot in the foot.

A bar security guard and a man with a gun were fighting. In all, 13 shots were fired.

Also suffering a graze wound was an unidentified woman.

The officer is in stable condition at Temple University Hospital, but he did suffer significant foot damage and may have to undergo surgery. The injured woman is listed in good condition at the Albert Einstein Medical Center.

The men who were fighting fled after the gun went off. Police have not made any arrests.
