Maple Shade Police Searching For Robbery Suspect

MAPLE SHADE, N.J. (CBS) - Police in Burlington County are searching for a man they say robbed a business Wednesday night.

Authorities say at about 9:15 p.m., a man armed with a handgun and machete broke into Goodwill Industries located on the 2800 block of Route 73 south in Maple Shade.

The company had just closed for the day and employees were still in the building, finishing last minute duties in the office. The unidentified suspect allegedly ordered three female employees to the corner of the office and then stole an undisclosed amount of money. Police say the employees were not injured during the robbery.

The suspect fled through the back of the building and across a wooded area. Maple Shade Police conducted a search of the area with help from a K-9 officer from Cinnaminson Police, but the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a male of unknown race, about 5'8" to 5'10", with a medium build. He was wearing a red baseball cap, black ski mask, white gloves, red hooded sweatshirt with a black shirt underneath and red nylon sweatpants with black and white stripes along the length of the legs.
