One Dead At Least Four In Custody In Brazen South Philadelphia Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police have four suspects in custody in connection with an early Sunday morning shooting death in South Philadelphia.

The shooting took place in the 2200 block of Hemberger Street where an unidentified man was shot just after 6 a.m. He was pronounced dead minutes later at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with gunshot wounds to the stomach and the face.

Police have four suspects in custody. They recovered the brown minivan they believe the suspects were driving in the 2500 block of South Felton Street. And the gun was recovered on Passyunk Avenue.

The investigation is ongoing.
