Lineup For Jay-Z Made In America Music Festival Released

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - For all of the music fans who anxiously waited for which artists would perform at the Made in America Festival Labor Day weekend, the moment has finally arrived.

The names of the musicians who are part of Phase 1 of the Budweiser Made in America Festival were announced on the Made in America Facebook page at about 8 p.m. Monday.

The lineup includes JAY Z, Pearl Jam, Skrillex, Miike Snow, Afrojack, Calvin Harris, Odd Future, D'Angelo, Maybach Music (feat. Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill), Passion Pit, Santigold, Dirty Projectors, X, Janelle Monae, Prince Royce, Rita Ora, Savoy (DJ set), and The Knocks.

More artists are expected to be announced. Early Monday afternoon, Pear Jam announced they were headlining the festival. Their exact performance date and time will be released in the coming weeks.

The big announcement comes a week after Jay-Z joined Mayor Michael Nutter atop the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum to announce a two-day music festival coming to benefit The United Way (see related story).

"Everyone knows my love affair with Philly from the amazing and talented artists I've signed from here," said Jay-Z.

The event will take place along the Ben Franklin Parkway in Fairmount Park September 1st and 2nd.
Tickets for the event go on sale May 23 through ticketmaster.com and Livenation.com. There will be a limited number of $99 tickets (plus service charges), which are good for entry on both days of the concert.

An undisclosed portion of the proceeds will go to The United Way.
