Armed Suspect Sought In Robbery Of North Philadelphia Electronics Store

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed an electronics store Monday afternoon.

The robbery happened at about 1:50 p.m. at the Game Stop store located in the 2900 block of North Broad Street in North Philadelphia.

Police say two employees were inside the store when the suspect came in and wandered around for nearly 20 minutes posing as a customer.

When one of the employees went on break, the suspect approached the counter armed with a handgun and demanded a PlayStation 3 and money from the cash register.

The employee placed the cash register drawer and a PlayStation 3 on the counter. The suspect took $250 in cash and the PlayStation 3 and then fled on foot north on Broad Street.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30-years-old, 5'8"-5'9", between 160-170 lbs., with a dark complexion, light facial hair, goatee and short hair. He was wearing a black hoodie and faded black jeans.
