One Injured, One Critical After Taxi Slams Into Car In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – At least two people were injured in an early morning car accident in North Philadelphia.

Around 2:10 a.m., police responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident at Broad & Huntingdon Streets, where they found two people injured inside a Lexus.

Reportedly, a taxi cab struck the car, causing an intrusion of more than three feet into the passenger side of the vehicle and injuring both people in the Lexus. The two injured victims were transported to Temple University Hospital, where the passenger is reportedly in critical condition. The driver is said to have been driving under the influence.

Police are investigating the accident.
