What's Cooking on 1060: Food Fest, Wine Tasting, and National Burger Month

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- At Iron Hill Restaurant and Brewery in Chestnut Hill next month, executive chef Michelle Wilson celebrates National Burger Month with 31 different items.

(Wilson:) "Every day during the month of May we'll be running a different burger with different toppings."

(Kuznits:)  "What's the most fattening burger of the month?"

(Wilson:)  "I would have to say it's the London Pub Burger -- it's two patties, caramelized onion gravy, cheddar cheese."

Wilson's podcast includes hamburger grilling tips for your own backyard.

This weekend, Passyunk Avenue in South Philadelphia celebrates "Flavors of the Avenue" on Saturday, April 28th.

"It's the opportunity to try it all under one tent, and get to see what everybody has to offer," says Renee Gilinger, executive director of the East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District.

Gilinger says there will be a lot of different foods to try:

"You can get pork belly anticuchos, tacos al pastore, dolce ravioli, porchetta, sushi, a chilled miso lobster soup, wild boar paté -- and I don't there are many places where you can all of those things in one place in one day!"

Over at Mémé Restaurant, 22nd and Spruce Streets in center city Philadelphia, wine consultant Federico Dall'Olmo will be showcasing French-grape wines made in Italy on April 30th.
