PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A driver is facing DUI charges after a crash that injured three people in Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

The two-car crash happened shortly before 3 a.m. at 5th and Callowhill Streets in the city’s Spring Garden section.

According to investigators, at least one person had to be pulled out of the wreck by the Jaws of Life. Three people were taken to the hospital with various injuries.

Authorities say one of the drivers was cited for driving under the influence.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
