Cheltenham High School Athletic Trainer Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 14-Year-Old

CHELTENHAM, Pa. (CBS) -- The Montgomery County District Attorney has announced the arrest of a high school Athletic Trainer on charges that he had sexual contact with a student.

Ramon Cintron, athletic trainer for Cheltenham High School, was arrested on allegations that in April 2012, he had indecent sexual contact with a 14-year-old female student.

According to the report, the allegations came to light after the student alerted the Cheltenham Township Police Department. The underage student said that Cintron had unwelcome sexual contact with her in his office on April 12th.

After the incident, police say Cintron sent the student several text messages apologizing for his behavior and urging her not tell anyone because he was worried he "could get locked up" for what happened.

Cintron was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon. He faces charges of Institutional Sexual Assault, Indecent Assault, Corruption of Minors, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, and Criminal Use of a Communications Facility.
