Philadelphia, PA— April 10, 2012 — One of America’s most successful talk radio stations, Philadelphia- Talk Radio 1210am WPHT will soon be all live and local, the station announced today. Popular local talk show host Michael Smerconish will present a live broadcast of his show weekdays from 12:00noon-3:00PM. His program was previously heard in afternoon drive.

“I am thrilled that WPHT has decided to make this move and give me the opportunity to include callers from my hometown of Philadelphia in the entirety of my program,” said Smerconish. “I have only lived in one radio market – this one. It’s good to be back live.”

In December 2010, WPHT announced a new lineup with a greater commitment to local talent covering local issues, anchored by Smerconish in afternoon drive, Chris Stigall in mornings, Dom Giordano in midday, and the Phillies and Gary R’nel in the evening.

WPHT will soon announce a new live and local afternoon show. Firm debut dates will be announced shortly as well.
