Fans Line Up For Midnight Showing Of 'The Hunger Games'

By Tim Jimenez

CHERRY HILL, NJ (CBS) - The Hunger Games is the latest page-to-big-screen blockbuster to cause a stir. Dozens of excited moviegoers lined up to see the sold out show at midnight.

The fans at the AMC in Cherry Hill, young and old (though, mostly young) have been waiting for this day for years.

Girls screamed their excitement (and allegiance to "team Peeta" or "team Gale.")

"They are the best books I've ever read in my life."

So what is The Hunger Games all about?

"It's a story about people fighting to the death."

Patrick from Sicklerville read the books before the buzz started. What's he looking forward to seeing?

"How they translate it to film. Just because, it is more violent too. There's more death in these books, so how are they going to make it PG-13 or make it more child-related so that it can go to different audiences?"

And many in line said they were unphased with the thought of class bright and early the next morning.

"We're intrigued to see the best movie of the year!"
