Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Car In Camden County

LINDENWALD, Nj (CBS) – Police in Lindenwald, New Jersey, say an unidentified pedestrian was struck by a car and killed early Sunday morning while crossing the Whitehorse Pike near Gibbsboro Road.
The driver of the vehicle involved initially failed to stop, but did turn around and was returning to the scene of the accident when she was stopped by police and taken into custody.
An investigation is ongoing.
There was no immediate word on what charges would be filed against the driver.
The name and age of the both the victim and the driver have not been released.
