Poll: Pa. Voters Cooling To Corbett, Warming to Santorum

HAMDEN, Conn. (CBS) -- Governor Tom Corbett's approval rating is down, and Rick Santorum's is up, in the latest Quinnipiac University poll of Pennsylvania voters.
The governor's approval rating is down to 41 pecent -- down six points from the last Quinnipiac poll in December.
Assistant poll director Tim Malloy says Pennsylvania voters appear to fear that state cuts to higher education could fuel tuition hikes.
"Sixty-eight percent of the people we polled were against any kind of cuts to universities," he tells KYW Newsradio. "Twenty-eight percent support it. So there's definitely concern over tuition."
And voters -- men more so than women -- oppose legislation that would require women seeking an abortion to have an ultrasound before an abortion.
The poll also shows Rick Santorum leading Mitt Romney, 36 to 22 percent, among Pennsylvania voters, and Santorum running neck-and-neck with President Obama.
