Young Child Among 3 Injured In Northeast Philadelphia House Fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Three residents, including a young girl, were treated for smoke inhalation after a house fire in Northeast Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

The one-alarm fire broke out at about 2 a.m. inside a home in the 3200 block of Cromwell Road.

According to officials, the fire apparently began inside the garage of the home. Firefighters were able to place the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes.

Three residents, including a three-year-old child, were taken to Aria Health's Torresdale Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
