Suspect Sought In ATM Theft In South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who withdrew money from an ATM after the victim accidentally left her card in the machine.

The incident happened at about 9:30 a.m. on February 6th at the Bank of America in the 2300 block of Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia.

According to investigators, the female victim completed a withdraw at the ATM machine, but she forgot to close out the transaction and walked away.

A short time later, a suspect went up to the ATM and withdrew $700 from the victim's checking account. The suspect then fled in a silver vehicle.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 50-year-old, with a mustache and light beard. He was wearing gold-trimmed glasses with a gray sweatshirt that had logos on the front and back.
