Buzz Growing Over Possible Announcement Of iPad 3 From Apple

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Did you hear? The third generation of Apple's iPad is about to be unveiled, maybe. The rumor mill is churning about a big announcement set for Wednesday.
"I have to have the newest thing, because I like to keep up with the Jones'," said Apple customer Kisha Rogers."I like to keep up-to-date. Everything has to be new and modern.
The newest version of the iPad could be announced as early as tomorrow.
"Wow, I was not aware of that!," said Felicia Perretti of Abington.
Stores like GameStop are advertising they'll buy your old iPods, iphones and ipads. Online there are millions of ipad 1s and 2s on sale, likely to make way for something better.
"I'm in the market for an ipad so I'll have to keep my eye out for that," said Perretti.
"I love to be an early adopter or innovator but the money is not always there, said Bill Zebrowski.
"It's going to stay in the $499.99 range probably," predicts St. Joe's Marketing Professor David Allan.
Allan has been following Apple for years. He expects Wednesday's revelation inside the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco will once again put the tech giant, in the spotlight.
"There's something about the Apple Brand that when added to a person...It sort of adds a little swagger to their step," remarked Allan.
