J-Lo Sets Oscar Telecast Viewers Atwitter With Mere Hint of Overexposure

By Ian Bush

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Did she or didn't she?

Jennifer Lopez has the gossips abuzz after what some say was a "wardrobe malfunction" last night at the Oscars.

For The Artist best actor Jean Dujardin and his fellow French, cinematic nudity is nearly de rigueur.

Here, though, skin can be a bit more titillating.

(clip of old Jerry Seinfeld show:)  "Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I see...a nipple."

(clip of Jennifer Lopez:)  "This year's nominees for makeup run the gamut..."

So when J-Lo got on stage last night, Twitter exploded with reports that her plunging neckline revealed more of the actress than decorum might dictate.

But Philadelphians who watched the telecast didn't seem to care.

"She can get away with anything -- even a little nip slip," said one woman.

"She didn't expose too much -- she looked elegant," said another.

It was only a shadow, Lopez's stylist insists.

But some say that if you've got it, flaunt it.

"She is definitely representing for the 40-year-old-plus.  She looked simply awesome," one woman told KYW Newsradio.

Whether you considered it memorable, a fashion faux pas -- or couldn't possibly care any less -- it's spawned a Twitter account: @JLosNipple joins Angelina Jolie's @AngiesRightLeg in the Internet annals of the Academy Awards.
