By Kim Glovas

CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- Chester Police announced the arrests Thursday of two men charged with the murders in three separate cases. The suspects are in custody and being held without bail.

Chester Police Commissioner Joseph Bail says 26-year-old Jamir Williams and 27-year-old Shamarr Alexander are behind bars. Bail says Williams was arrested in connection with two murders and an attempted murder, all in 2010.

The commissioner says Williams gunned down Rahim Hicks outside a seafood store. The second murder was a year and a half ago.

"Murder was on Emerson Price and attempted murder of Robert Adams, it occurred on October 30th 2010 after a brief altercation outside of S's bar in the city of Chester," Bail said.

Williams is charged with first and second degree murder. Alexander is charged with the June 23rd, 2011 murder of John Anthony Dillard, a cab driver for Germantown Cab. Dillard had been strangled and stabbed in the neck.
