Bomb Scare Closes School In Gloucester County For Several Hours
BLACKWOOD, N.J. (CBS) – A bomb scare shut down a Gloucester County school for several hours Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the Pennco Technical School in Blackwood received a phone call from a male claiming to have knowledge of a bomb in one of the school's offices.
This call prompted officials to evacuate the school just after 2 p.m. and alert police.
Upon arrival, several bomb sniffing K-9 units were deployed from several different jurisdictions.
With the help of the Blackwood Fire Company, the school was cleared and nothing was located.
The school was reopened just after 4 p.m.
