Burglars Targeting Copper Piping Inside Vacant Homes In Bucks County

PENNRIDGE, Pa. (CBS) – Police in a Bucks County town are searching for burglars who have been stealing copper piping from vacant homes that are for sale.

In a day two span, thieves broke into three unoccupied homes in Pennridge that are currently for sale.

The first incident happened on February 6th inside a home in the 1800 block of Three Mile Run Road. Investigators say the suspect(s) gained entry to the home by forcing open a rear door. Once inside, copper piping was stolen from the basement of the home.

The following day, a burglar broke into a home in the 2500 block of Three Mile Run Road and again stole copper piping from the basement.

Also on February 7th, someone broke into a home in the 2900 block of Route 313 and stole copper piping from the basement.
