The admission came from Councilman Jim Kenney, speaking on the floor of City Council chambers in memory of Soul Train host Don Cornelius.
“It was the TV show that I actually learned to dance — for real — on,” councilman Jim Kenney said.
“Councilman, I was wondering where you got those wonderful moves from,” Council President Darrell Clarke said.READ MORE: 5 People Shot Near Temple University, Philadelphia Police Say
“That was it,” Kenney replied.
That prompted Majority Whip Blondell Reynolds Brown to adjourn the session with a request.
“I will ask my council member Jim Kenney to lead us down the Soul Train line.”
