Reviewing Phillies Offseason With Seth Everett

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Spring training is quickly approaching for the Phillies as they will look to get the bad taste out of their mouths that last October's first-round playoff exit left.

GM Ruben Amaro Jr. kept himself quite busy this offseason, making numerous additions to the roster - the most notable being closer Jonathan Papelbon, infielder Ty Wigginton and first baseman Jim Thome.  Of course, they also made sure shortstop Jimmy Rollins didn't go anywhere, resigning him to a new multi-year deal.

The Phillies have also added veterans like outfielder Laynce Nix and reliever Chad Qualls while saying goodbye to the likes of Raul Ibanez, Roy Oswalt and Wilson Valdez.

KYW's Matt Leon talks with baseball insider Seth Everett about all the moves and how the Phils fared overall this offseason.  They also look ahead to what could be in store in 2012.
