Ocean City Boardwalk Named One Of America's Best

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Travel Channel has named Ocean City New Jersey's boardwalk among the top six boardwalks in the country.
The family oriented attractions along the 2.5-mile stretch of the Ocean City Boardwalk warmed the hearts of judges, according to the Travel Channel. It's the only boardwalk in the garden state that was named among the best.
"We are very limited in how we market Ocean City and the funds we have something like this is priceless we are so excited about it and we know it speaks volumes about Ocean City and it is a great way for people to learn more about Ocean City," says Michelle Gillian, the executive director of the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce.
The Travel Channel also awarded Ocean City "New Jersey's Most Popular Beach."
Other best boardwalks include Coney Island Boardwalk in New York and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in California.
