KYW’s Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch talk with the forward out of UCLA.

Hoffman scored 18 goals in 24 games during his last season with the Bruins, and hopes to bring that scoring touch to PPL Park.  He will have to fight for his playing time, though, as the team is stocked with young forwards.

The Alabama native also talks about how growing up in the southern part of the US made it a little tougher getting exposure as a player.
