Rescue Crews Dispatched After Car Drives Into Montgomery County Pond

UPPER MORELAND Twp., Pa. (CBS) -- Rescue crews were called to the scene of a reported car into a lake in Montgomery County late Friday evening.

According to police, a vehicle went into the body of water near Fitzwater and North York Roads in Upper Moreland. Officials say the vehicle became submerged in the pond for about 20 minutes.

The driver was rescued by the Willow Grove Volunteer Fire Department and transported to Abington Hospital for treatment.

It is unclear what caused the accident.
