Suspect Sought In Main Line Gropings

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – Police in Montgomery County are searching for a suspect in two groping incidents on Monday.

The first incident happened at about 9:55 a.m. in the Penn Valley section of Lower Merion Township.

A 26-year-old female told police she was walking in front of Chabad of the Main Line on Montgomery Avenue when a male grabbed her buttocks from behind. The suspect then ran away on foot.

The second incident happened at about 9:10 p.m. in front of the McCauley Convent on Montgomery Avenue.

A 34-year-old female told police she was walking on Montgomery Avenue and just passed the driveway of the convent when she was grabbed from behind. The victim told police she was pulled to the ground and groped.

The suspect is described as being between 5'8"-5'10" who was wearing black pants, a black-hooded sweatshirt and a black hat. In the first incident, the victim described the suspect as a white or Hispanic male.
