Two People Are Dead After Early Morning House Fire Down The Shore

Philadelphia (CBS) – Firefighters responded to a call in Margate, New Jersey early Saturday morning. Two people were found dead.

Fire Chief Anthony Tabasso tells Eyewitness News they were called to the 300 block of North Thurlow Avenue around 1:50 Saturday morning. The fire destroyed the first floor. Crews say they found the dead husband, Ralph Spinosi and his wife, Jessica Spinosi, on the third floor.

Tabasso says the owner of the home, Donna Saber, who was also at the residence when the fire broke out, escaped without injury. A dog, cat and rabbits were saved. Tabasso says there may have been other pets inside that didn't survive.

A cause of the fire has not been determined. The victims have not been identified; no firefighters were injured.
