Wednesday's Child: Christopher

By Larry Kane
Produced by Timothy McLaughlin

Christopher is 17, and like most kids his age he loves playing video games.  His favorite? "Guitar Hero."

"I want to be a rock star when I grow up," says Chris.

He is also a history buff, and he has a passion for creating art.

"I draw all sorts of stuff --  Japanese animations like Martel, all sorts of stuff."

Gloria Hochman of the National Adoption Center, based in Philadelphia, says it's never too late for a teenager to find a home.

"Many people never think of adopting a teenager -- it never occurs to them," Hochman notes.

Christopher's recruiter Chiquita says Chris' biggest wish is a permanent family.

"He's a happy kid who wants to belong and have a family of his own.  He wants that, he needs that," she tells KYW Newsradio.
