The Square App

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - On today's APP-tastic and outta SITE -- ideal for any small business, it's the Square app and credit card reader.

A tiny dongle plugs into your iPhone and when you swipe a credit card on it, the Square app processes the transaction. The fee is 2.75% per swipe but Square will foot the bill for the first month.

The app itself is free and works with iPhones, iPads and Android. The company promises robust security, too.
