Montgomery County Residents On Alert After Attempted Luring

FRANCONIA Twp., Pa. (CBS) – Authorities in Montgomery County are warning residents to be on alert after a reported child luring incident on Monday.

According to Franconia Township Police, a 12-year-old girl told officers a white male in his mid-forties approached her after she got off her school bus at about 3:20 p.m. near the intersection of Keller's Creamery Road and Indian Creek Road.

The girl said the man followed her in a car for a short distance before rolling down his window to ask he could take her picture and if she would pose for him.

The little girl ran home and notified her parents who called police.

The alleged suspect is said to have white, medium length hair with sideburns. He was wearing a brown jacket and was driving a small tan four-door car, possibly an older model Mercury, with a Philadelphia Eagles sticker near the registration plate.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective George Moyer at moyer@franconia-township.org or Officer Pete Sandor psandor@franconia-township.org or the Franconia Township Police at 215-723-6777.
