Philadelphia Convention And Visitors Bureau Unveils 'Completely Philly' Marketing Campaign

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau unveiled its marketing campaign for the city on Wednesday afternoon at its annual luncheon at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Completely exciting, completely inspired, completely Philadelphia -- that's the theme of PCVB's new video that is designed to establish Philadelphia as the international destination. The video highlights some of city's most popular museums, musical attractions and historic sites.

"When you take a visual like Completely Philadelphia around the world, they see the beauty of the city, they see the culture of the city, they see the various offerings whether they're historic, cultural restaurants, sports," said PCVB President and CEO Jack Ferguson.

PCVB and Mayor Michael Nutter also announced that the LIGHTFARE International tradeshow will return to Pennsylvania Convention Center in 2013, bringing an estimated 23,000 attendees and millions of dollars in revenue to the city.

"This is a huge win because it is one of the first groups to come into the space and use the entire building," said Ferguson.

Ferguson says PCVB's goal is to make Philadelphia the most visited city in America.

The Completely Philadelphia video is available for use by any businesses and groups wishing to attract new visitors to the city. To view the Completely Philadelphia video go to www.PhiladelphiaUSA.travel/phillyvideo.
