Football: West Chester Set To Wrap Up Season vs. IUP

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- After hammering Millersville on the road last week, 49-13, West Chester University (5-5) will wrap up the season on Saturday as they host Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

The 2011 campaign has been up-and-down for West Chester, and Golden Rams head coach Bill Zwaan is hopeful his team can pull one out on Saturday, to go into the offseason on a two-game winning streak.

"We're still a young team, so this last game is really important, I think, as we head to the offseason," he tells KYW Newsradio.  "One (reason) is we want to have a winning season -- that's for our senior group and for the younger kids coming back. And two, I think we have the possibility of being a pretty good team next year, with everybody that we have coming back, so this would be a great jumping-off point to get into the weight room and get working and really feel good about themselves.  And if they can get two wins here at the end, that would be huge."

But the Golden Rams will have to earn it, as IUP is 6-3 and Zwaan says they bring a good squad to town.

"Very tough, physical team, both sides of the ball.  They like to run the ball, they have a really good tailback and he's going to be tough for us to slow down.  They've done a good job of mixing their passing game, although that's not really what they rely on -- they really want to run the ball at you.  And then defensively, a very aggressive, very physical team.  They come after you with blitzes and they run all over the place because they've got good team speed."

Kickoff is set for 1pm Saturday in West Chester.
