Philadelphia Police Officer Arrested For Assault
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A Philadelphia police officer was arrested Thursday for allegedly assaulting someone while off duty.
Authorities say on February 11, 2010, Anthony Alexander, 22, and his girlfriend got involved in a verbal and physical altercation with three females in the 600 block of Edison Street.
After an investigation by the department's Internal Affairs Bureau and the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, Alexander was charged with Criminal Conspiracy, Simple Assault, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
The three-year veteran of the department has been put on suspension for 30 days with the intent to dismiss.
