Philadelphia Photo Arts Center Hosts Your Work For 'Philly Photo Day'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A local arts organization is hosting Philly Photo Day this Friday. It's a day where anyone can take a picture anywhere in Philadelphia and submit it for inclusion in an art exhibition.

The Philadelphia Photo Arts Center is a non-profit that provides community access to photography and art. Sarah Stolfa, the Center's Executitve Director says, Philly Photo Day gives anyone and everyone a chance to be an artist.

"It gives everyone the opportunity to make a picture rather than always having to be looking at pictures."

Stolfa says there are only two rules: First, your photo has to be taken somewhere in Philadelphia. And second, it must be taken on Friday October 28th.

"You can do it with your cell phone, with your point and shoot camera. It doesn't matter. Select your favorite one and then go to our website and then upload the picture to us."

Stolfa says photos must be uploaded by October 31st. For info on how to submit your photo or on how to see it live and in color at a free photo exhibition go to philaphotoarts.org.
