Man Injured In Overnight Shooting In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left a man injured in Philadelphia.

Around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday night, the victim entered his car in the 6600 block of Chew Avenue when a man approached him, displayed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded the victim's wallet.

When the victim refused, the man began firing, leaving the victim with wounds in his lower and upper back.

The victim was able to get away in his car and drove himself to Chestnut Hill Hospital, where he was transported by medics to Abington Hospital and is in stable condition.

Police are now searching for a 28-29 year old black male, about 5'10" – 5'11" inches tall. He has a full beard and was wearing a black leather jacket, black pants and a black baseball cap with red trim.
