Old City Pet Store Selling Hilarious Halloween Costumes For Fido And Felix

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - If you're looking for a costume for your pet, there are a lot of options to choose from.

With the rise of pet parades and pet-friendly Halloween parties, costumes are in high demand.  And you can find everything from a bumblebee costume to a taco costume for your pet.

Noe Bunnell, owner of Bone Jour pet store in Old City, says some of the popular pet costumes in her store this year seem are Renaissance-themed.

"A lot of people who have more than one dog like to dress one of them up as the knight in shining armor and the other one up as the princess," she says.

And how do the pets like the costumes?

"Ehhh..." Bunnell responds with the wisdom of experience, but adds:  "Most of the pets that get dressed up in costumes are also used to being dressed up throughout the year, so they're not really too bad.  Some of them won't really tolerate it.  But I say, as long as they tolerate it long enough for a photo, that's good enough."

And while there are lots of costumes for dogs -- what about costumes for cats?

"We have a couple of them, they are not really big sellers.  Cats are a lot less tolerant of being dressed up, but I have had a couple of people come in and buy the small size dog costumes for their cats.  I have one customer who dresses her cat up and brings it out in a little cat stroller, and it's very adorable."

Bunnell says even if your pet is too big for a costume, you can always pull out the bandana or get a Halloween-themed collar or leash to go with your costume -- or with that pet stroller for your cat.
