Philadelphia's Tea Party Association Uses Social Media To Respond To 'Occupy' Protests

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia's tea party association has created a presence on Facebook to respond to the "occupy" protests here and across the country.

Don Adams of the Independence Hall Tea Party Association says the group has created a coalition it calls Liberate Philadelphia/Liberate America. And, it started a Facebook page to try to sort out the truth.

"They claim that they are having a difficult time getting work. And, that is very believable. But their answer is not believable. They want to attack the very engines of our society that might give them a chance, an opportunity to work."

Adams says his organization resents the demonstrators' claim they represent 99 percent of the population.

The Facebook page contains a variety of posts, including video links showing the actions of protesters as well as reactions from various commentators. To see the page, click here.
