Fire Engulfs Strawberry Mansion Row Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia firefighters had their hands full battling an intense house fire early Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out at about 6 a.m. inside a home in the 3200 block of West Norris Street in the city's Strawberry Mansion section.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they encountered intense flames shooting from the row home.

Firefighters were able to safely evacuate the building. There were no immediate reports of any injuries.

The fire was placed under control shortly after 7 a.m. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
