College Football: West Chester Looking For Second Straight Win

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) - The West Chester Golden Rams picked up their first win of 2011 last weekend, taking care of Slippery Rock 20-13.  Saturday, they will look to even their record at 2-2 as they host 1-2 East Stroudsburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference match-up.

West Chester Head Coach Bill Zwaan says that Slippery Rock game provided a big exhale for the coaches and players.

"It was real important for us to get that 'W', that's for sure," Zwaan tells KYW Newsradio. "We didn't play great, but we made some big plays when we needed to and that's what we kind of needed to find out. We needed to make some plays, especially late in the game, in a tough game, to win it and we pulled that off."

This week against East Stroudsburg, Zwaan says his defense will really have its hands full against a potent Warrior attack that has scored 88 points in three games.

"They score. They throw the football well, which has been their 'm-o' since we've been here. They spread you out and once they get you spread, they'll try to run the ball on you, but really they are a spread passing team. It's kind of one of those teams that you're never, ever comfortable (against) - even if you get up by a couple touchdowns, they can score so quickly they can get right back into the game."

West Chester and East Stroudsburg kickoff at 6:00pm on Saturday.
