Shore Memorial Hospital Renamed As Shore Medical Center, Adopts Holistic Form Of Patient Care

SOMERS POINT, NJ (CBS) - Shore Memorial Hospital in Atlantic County, New Jersey, unveiled a new name and logo on Wednesday at a grand opening celebration in the new surgical pavilion and campus expansion.

Now known as Shore Medical Center, the 138,000 square foot surgical pavilion has nine state of the art operating suites to work in. The hospital now boasts the most up to date technology, including a video wall which gives surgeons instant access to key medical information related to a patient's procedure.

Along with the new technology, Shore Medical Center was built on the foundation of quality and caring, which research showed remained one of its strongest attributes today.

The center has adopted a patient care model known as Planetree Patient Centric-Mode, which is a patient-centered, holistic approach to healthcare.

The new medical center has spacious and comfortable settings for patients, family and friends to relax and feel comfortable in. The plan to expand this patient care throughout other areas of the center is in the works.

The expansion also includes a three story medical building and a four-story, 640 space self-park garage and valet parking at the main entrance.
