Food Network's Robert Irvine Helps Reinvent A Bucks County Restaurant

PIPERSVILLE, Pa. (CBS) - A Bucks County restaurant will get some national exposure tonight when it's featured on the popular program "Restaurant: Impossible" program on the Food Network.

Back in the spring Mamma D's in Pipersville was chosen from about a thousand applicants. In June, Robert Irvine and his crew from the Food Network show spent a couple of days making over the Easton Road establishment. They made changes on everything from its physical appearance to the menu.

Mamma D's chef Louie Desiato says his family and staff were a little apprehensive but he had a different approach.

"I said let's get the consultation, let's see what they say. If they want to change the color of the ceiling in the dining room, I'm going for it," Desiato said "What have I got to lose? That's the way I looked at it."

He believes the show was attracted to the restaurant because of the on-site winery and the farm animals, which he says have been moved. The makeover premieres tonight at 10 and he'll see it for the first time along with more than 100 people who booked dinner reservations.
