7-Year-Old Girl Struck By SEPTA Bus In Southwest Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A 7-year-old girl is recovering at an area hospital after she was struck by a SEPTA bus Monday morning in Southwest Philadelphia.

The incident happened a little before 11:30 at 67th Street and Dicks Avenue in the Elmwood neighborhood. Authorities say the child was riding her bicycle when the accident happened. She was transported to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in stable condition. Police say her injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The SEPTA driver was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

It is not known whether charges have been filed at this time.
