Police: Pennsylvania Man Raped Child, 7, After Tractor Ride
GROVE CITY, Pa. (AP) -- A 72-year-old western Pennsylvania man has been jailed on charges he raped a 7-year-old girl after first encouraging her to take a ride with him on his tractor.
State police in Mercer charged Ramon Voltz, of Grove City, on Tuesday, after investigating the girl's claims for nearly two months. Police are now asking the public to report any incidents in which they suspect Voltz of molesting other children.
Online court records don't list an attorney for Voltz who allegedly assaulted the girl June 30.
The girl told her parents that after the tractor ride, Voltz spread a blanket on the ground and had sex with her after telling her to lay down.
Voltz is charged with child rape, aggravated indecent assault and other crimes.
