Police Search For Man Who Tried To Firebomb FOP Building
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police are hunting for a man who tried to firebomb the Philadelphia FOP at Broad and Spring Garden Streets just before dawn. There was no fire damage and no injuries.
Police say an unidentified man threw a brick through a front door window at the Fraternal Order of Police building just after 5 a.m. After breaking the window, the same man threw a molotov cocktail (a bottle with flammable fluid) through the broken window, but the flaming bottle extinguished itself before landing inside the building.
The fire marshal is investigating and, along with police, is interviewing two witnesses.
A spokesman for Central Detective Division says no one was hurt and there was no fire damage.
