Delaware Woman Seriously Hurt In Rollover Crash

CLAYMONT, Del. (AP) -- Delaware State Police say a woman has been seriously injured when she was ejected from her car when it rolled over in Claymont.

It happened about 8:45 a.m. Friday on Interstate 495. Troopers say 24-year-old Sonya Pipher of Wilmington was traveling south when she swerved after seeing a vehicle try to enter her lane.

Pipher's car hit a guardrail and flipped over it into the median. It overturned several times, ejecting Pipher.

She was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

The crash is under investigation.
