1 Dead, 1 Injured In Monmouth County Stabbing

RED BANK, N.J. (AP) -- Monmouth County prosecutors say one person was killed and another hospitalized after they were stabbed during a street dispute in Red Bank.

The stabbings occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday on Bank Street. But it wasn't immediately clear what sparked the incident, and details on the victims and their injuries were not disclosed.

Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor Richard Incremona says both victims were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where one died a short time later. Incremona said an autopsy was planned for Sunday afternoon.

Authorities declined to discuss the incident at length, and would not say what type of weapon was used to stab the victims.
